102 Never Looked So Good!

1V5A5599-Recovered

My grandma turned the big 1-0-2 and this is what 102 candles looks like, folks. She is an amazing woman who has made a huge impact on my life along with many others. I had to honor her Lynn Terry Photography style…beautiful shots along with some great humorous shots as well. First I wanted to get shots of my daughter  holding my Grandma’s hand. Think about it…102 years between the two, I love the shot and the visual of the age difference. It is mind-boggling to think of the the differences both will experience with the years between the two.

Then, we asked Grandma Irma if she would let us create some hilarious photos of her lighting a cigarette on 102 candles. Without thinking twice, Grandma agreed. First time she lit a cig! However, not knowing what 102 candles would look like, I was sure to turn off all smoke detectors and had a fire extinguisher prepped and ready. Luckily, the fire department was not dispatched and we got some amazing photos. I am pretty sure some of these photos could be on a greeting cards!

The Adorable Iron Kiddos

Irons-Cover

This brother and sister are like no other. When it came time to ‘Love on each other’ for photos, the Iron siblings did not put up a fight. Usually for kiddos this age, that is unheard of! I at least get an eye-roll and a groan. It was so heartwarming and adorable how much these two were willing to hug, hold hands and play together during their fall photo shoot in the park. These two even showed up wearing the same kicks. 🙂 This shoot was enjoyable and the photos are great, don’t you agree?

Blue-eyed, blond-haired and ornery to boot

SchmidtCover

I was fortunate enough to meet the Schmidt family through a rescue group a while back. Wanting some family photos, we headed to the park this past fall and took advantage of beautiful weather. This handsome little guy was HILARIOUS. He showed up wearing his cowboy boots and was rearing to go!  If you can’t tell by the photos, he came with all kinds of energy.  He had me laughing and exhausted by the end of the day. Little boys keep you guessing but I’m happy with the outcome. Best little boy shoot to date. 🙂

Luckily, we were also able to make it back to the studio to do a few shots with the Schmidt’s fur kid in the photo booth as well. Both kids were a riot!

The Pozzo Family

PozzoCover

Despite fighting rain on this fall day, The Pozzo family had fun taking taking these photos. The Pozzo family wanted photos to commemorate their son, David’s 2nd birthday. You may recognize that handsome boy from our Fireman shoot here.  David and his sweet little sister were camera-ready and gave me some great smiles. The photos with the birthday boy and his mom and dad are too sweet for words!

The Labonte Family

LaBonte1

Every year, I have the privilege of taking the Labonte’s Christmas photos. Last year, I was excited to schedule a fall session with this family. Tower Grove Park lent itself for the perfect fall backdrop, leaf pile for the kiddos included! The blue-eyed kids along with the adorable fur kids cooperated quite nicely.

The Becker Family

Becker-Cover

Since moving from California, the Becker family has fallen in love with the city of St. Louis. We went around town and took advantage of the beautiful fall scenery for this shoot with their Bichons. The Becker’s knew they wanted to pay homage to their last name and we knew just the spot. Anyone from St. Louis should recognize the big ‘B’ in these shots. 🙂 Honestly, could this family be any more gorgeous?

Dare you not to smile…

1V5A0370
Have you stopped smiling yet? I sure haven’t. Mae’s mom is a personal friend of mine who resides in Mexico. When I heard she was coming to St. Louis this past summer, I could not wait to get little Mae in front of the camera. She did not disappoint! She was such a little ham, I had a hard time taking photos in between laughing. I am already looking forward to their next trip to the area.
